Bio
Jason is a British actor who originally hails from Bermuda. He studied acting at the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York before attending the prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London. He now resides in New York.
From a young age, Jason knew he wanted to pursue acting and as a child became involved in the Bermuda Musical & Dramatic Society and Gilbert & Sullivan Society. As an adolescent he starred in the Bermuda children’s television show THE LEARNALOTS and at 14 became the youngest student ever to be admitted into the Film & Entertainment Industry course taught by legendary Hollywood producer Arthur Rankin at Bermuda College. Jason left the island at 16 and finished secondary education in Canada, before attending AMDA. After finishing there, he auditioned for and won a place at Guildhall where he received a BA (Hons) in Acting.
Since graduating from Guildhall Jason has worked professionally in the United Kingdom, Europe and Bermuda in theatre, film and television. Jason is a seasoned theatre performer. His resonant voice and verse-speaking talent naturally leant him towards classical theatre and he cut his teeth on the London theatre scene performing Shakespeare. His strong physical skills and movement abilities saw him become involved with many UK theatre companies for devising, research and development, and movement creation. He has worked for exciting ensemble companies such as Teatro Vivo and The Faction, and thrives in a collaborative working environment. Many of the productions he has been a part of have been immersive and site-specific theatre performances. On these jobs he honed his skills in improv, direct audience communication and the ability to adapt and perform in any space. Jason has worked in open-air theatres and large stages across the UK, Europe and Bermuda including Shakespeare’s Globe, the New Vic Theatre, the Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford Shakespeare Company, Vienna’s English Theatre, Midsummer Scene Festival in Croatia and The Bermuda Festival of the Performing Arts.
Jason's film and television work include lead roles in the award winning and award nominated short films WILD SPACE and HOME and supporting roles in feature films. He worked with Toni Collette in the limited television series WANDERLUST for BBC/Netflix and appeared on THE BLACKLIST for NBC. He is also experienced in voiceover work, stage combat and motion capture performance.
Most recent work includes the immersive journalism piece EVERYBODY IS GONE in Berlin for The New Wild, understudying in The Rat Trap for Mint Theatre Off-Broadway and the critically acclaimed F**cking Men at Waterloo East Theatre in London.
